TWOTF: So what are the good and bad things about sneaker game at the moment?

Stephen and Stevie: What’s great is that there is so much choice at the moment especially when it comes to retros. All those shoes that you wanted as a kid you can get a hold on them now and that’s amazing.

The downside at the moment or what’s bad about the game is that for many it’s all about the hype and we’re not sure if there is that same love for the shoes that we have with those people that are claiming to be so called sneakerheads. The whole reselling thing whilst that’s helped us to get some of those gems in our collections it is still killing the game with so many people buying shoes to resell and just to make money.

But yeah the love is not there now if you tell someone their shoes are nice or even try and strike up a conversation about ‘em people take it the wrong way when we’re all claiming that we love the shoes. We just don’t think those heads that have their huge collections with all the latest kicks and collabs – all the heat as they would say – we’re just not sure that that same love exists and that’s what we need to bring back. And that’s exactly what we’re hoping we can so with our event.

Dwayne: The good thing about the sneaker game is the community and appreciation I have met some amazing people and been to some great events. Because of my involvement with sneakers I have run alongside Mo Farah and had a laugh with Scottie Pippen and been able to make some real good friendships along the way and I feel really blessed to have had some of the above experiences and to have met some of the people that I have.

Bad things about the sneaker game are the greed and hate for others, rather than see another person shine some people wanna hate. At the end of the day it’s just kicks and people need to share the love.
