Chaz Bojorquez is widely acknowledged as the OG Godfather of Cholo-style Graffiti and puts his Cholo-style touch onto the Chuck Taylor Hi 1970 releasing this Friday June 28th. Bojorquez’s work has been exhibited in Mexico, Spain, Italy, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Hawaii and New York and scores of art galleries and museums.
Now his work finds itself on a pair or black Chucks. A shoe for a street artist these are made from ultra resilient duck canvas and premium nubuck. Chaz’s artwork appears in the form of his famous lettering and a skull on the tongue. These come complete with a nice custom box with a photo of Chaz in action from back in the days. Not much hype about these and not a lot of good photos of these on the interweb but they are nice, real nice.
The crew from Division Creative Foundry are involved in this release too shouts to them!
You can cop these for $110 on Friday at http://www.deadstock.ca not sure if these will be making their way across the pond, let’s hope so.
