Whoah!

What a great event put on by the Fresh Laces crew at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge yesterday. They took over a corner of the Menswear department and turned it into a veritable sneaker fest. With heat on display and on sale from Mr. Sneaker, Trainerholic, Sports Dimension, and French London crew Tapis Rouge there was plenty for folks to get their hands on and plenty of heat just to be admired. From Jordans and Yeezys, Clots, OG Huaraches, Lebrons, Alife Reeboks the sneaker crews really brought out the fire.

There were some amazing sneaker keyrings from i want your sole. Elisha Francis had the most amazing bespoke jewellery with some special Fresh Laces pieces that she created – love the Tiger’s Eye ones. There was some really nice denim from the King of This Couture. Customeyes Embroidery had some fire caps for when you need to finish off your outfit with some matching headwear. It was also great to see the UK making moves in the sneaker restoration game with Save our Soles showing how they can bring your sneaker soles back to life. There was some customisation heat too from the From Virginia crew who had some really stunning Air Force Ones out for the event.

The space was really kitted out well with a real cosy feel to it but not too squashed in. So shouts to those that were involved in the floor planning. They also managed to squeeze in a couple of table tennis tables – you may have seen the Word on the Feet crew getting busy on those.

The vibes were TUN UP too with music provided by Kiss Fm’s The Dixon Brothers, Choice FM’s Manny Norte and DJ 10 Faces. Add to that some live beatbox and vocal performances from former UK beatbox champion MC Zani, alongside Alyusha from the Boxettes. There were also some surprise guests that came through with Jadakiss, Kano and Professor Green showing love. Kano was even getting down on the table tennis flex!

All in all the Fresh Laces crew put on a really tight event, props go out to them for some stellar organisation and for getting a strong selection of people connected to the sneaker game all in once place. I also rate the fact that they shone a spotlight on people that are connected to the game that are doing amazing things but are not getting the exposure that they deserve. Big respect for that.

Shouts also to all those that showed the Word on the Feet crew love in there and all those who were feeling the Just Gwaan Do It T-shirt line – these will be coming real soon.

Massive props to Fresh Laces, Harvey Nichols and all those involved with the event, so good to see that Fresh Laces logo on the Cash Desk!

Took a ton of photos so click through to see all of yesterday’s action.
