H-Town Sneaker Summit – Texas Stand Up!

Whoah! As you may be aware from our social media we have been on a bit of a US mini-tour and last Sunday July 26 we were at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas for Sneaker Summit 2015. So we’ve been to a few events in NYC and down in Florida but this was the first trip to a down South Texas event and to the event highly rated as the best. And we had been to Sneaker Summit in NY but this was our first time on their home turf in Houston, Texas.

In short we had a great time! There was just a great vibe throughout. Sponsored by Sheikh shoes, Crep Protect, Crooks and Castles, Houston’s The Beat 93.7 were also in the building alongside a bunch of heat sellers, independent clothing brands, folks with amazing key rings, sole protectors, sneaker cleaning products, sneaker art, sneaker storage. The attendees had that heat too and here were permitted to bring pairs with them for sale or trade so there was a crazy trading area and all around the massive venue there were sneakerheads young and old with shoes in their hands, in the air, crazy crazy vibe. Slim Thug was in the building as was Trae the Truth rolling around on a Gator-skinned segway.

And we just had so much love from all the people we spoke to and a ton of shoutouts on the mic. Hats off to the organisers for putting together an event that big with that many people and the whole thing running without a hitch and just a great atmosphere from start to finish. BIG UP Christine for having us down and making sure we were looked after. And shouts to all those that made it down if you didn’t you gotta put the H-Town Sneaker Summit on your sneaker event calendar, the next one is the Winter Summit on December 6th…be there!
