Last week The Word on the Feet had the great pleasure of going to Soho, invited by Nike to the Tech Pack Armoury space for a preview of Nike’s 2015 sneakerboot range and their amazing Nike Tech clothing.

Props to Nike for creating such a dope space in the heart of London City. As we entered (Garage MC voice) we are welcomed into the bunker, where we are given instructions and armed with a pair of Flyknit Chukka’s and a hooded Aeroloft jacket. Our first impressions, the clothing and footwear, are designed with street style in mind and blended together with hard wearing Nike Tech materials to protect you from the elements, and as the weather grows more challenging we shall see if Nike’s new Tech pack is up for the test, especially in the UK.

We are taken through three rooms each representing a variety of familiar conditions. The rain room with rain fall and deep puddles, the winter room, snow and a full-on blizzard and finally the weather tunnel, high winds and intense heat, an all together fully immersive experience used to push the Tech Pack Armoury gear to the limits.

The clothing and footwear are beautifully crafted, designed to high specifications, whilst being warm they are also breathable and light. We feel protected with a one-away look, favourites had to be the AM 95’s in that military green with the infrared detailing we just love these, although we were definitely torn between the 95s and the Flyknit Chukkas which are so comfortable, the Aeroloft jacket that we were able to weather test made us feel extra warm and secure with a ready to take on anything kinda vibe.

Big thanks to all the staff on hand who were so friendly and made this such a great exprerience whilst showcasing all the latest Tech Pack technology. Some of the pieces are available now with more being rolled out as the cold sets in…you gonna need some Nike Tech…
