Le coq sportif has a rich and beautiful history, and the relationship between Yannick Noah and Arthur Ashe is just one example the brand likes to celebrate.

Last year, le coq sportif chose to shine a spotlight on their very first encounter in Yaoundé, Cameroon, in 1969, when Yannick Noah was only 9 years old. Now, the brand is celebrating another iconic moment between the two greats, their first doubles match at Wimbledon in 1978, when Arthur Ashe invited a young Yannick Noah to join him in competition.

To celebrate this encounter on the court, le coq sportif has put together an exclusive pack featuring the two shoes that bear these tennis legends’ names: the Arthur Ashe and the Noah Comp 1978. Both models have been reinterpreted in white full-grain leather with gold details and a translucent green outer sole.

The insoles bear a photo of the two tennis players. This pack, available in a limited series of 78, also comes with a white vintage tennis ball.

This pack will be available in February in select premium stores.
