Reporting LIVE FROM PARIS, we attended the TuNed Air Birthday Party in Montrueil, neuf trois quoi quoi (come on!) organized by Nike and Foot Locker.

On Thursday 13th December, Paris celebrated the Air Max Plus’ 20th Birthday. This iconic pair, better known as the TN, was and remains a symbol of street culture and arguably more than anywhere else in France (London we know you rep hard too!), where they renamed it La Requin, French for The Shark, a nod to its sleek, dangerous profile. The venue, Les Chaudronnerries in Montreuil, was transformed into a Tuned City, much to the delight of the TN aficionados.

As soon as we stepped into the venue, the tone was set: welcome to the Tuned City. TNs on foot and equipped with a TN Credit Card, we were ready to spend our TN bucks in the TN city.

What an event! Every detail was amazing. From the TN Grocery store that was a perfect copy of the French épiceries, to the DonAir NiKebab which was authentic (and delicious). There also were Yamaha TMax mopeds, in OG TN colours a nod to the Parisian streets and moped culture in the European city streets where the TN gained the most support. The organisers pulled out all the stops to make us feel we were really in TN Town!

Customised TN tee or hat? TN mug? TN USB stick? TN sauce? TN cereals? TN laundry detergent (yeah, you read it right)? TN key rings? And even a TN metro card holder? There was something for everyone! Too dope!

And so was the Tuned Air on stage line up! The French rappers 13 Block set the stage on fire, followed by Slow Thai, a special guest from London in town for the event. Also up on stage Swiss rappers Dimeh and his XTRM Boys with the Parisians Bamao Yende and Andy4000 closing out the night in fine style!

The TN first timers also got the chance to be the first in the world to cop the OG Purple TNs before the official drop. It was the return of the SNKRS CAM: find and scan a purple shark with your phone to get early access to the pair. Nice, nice touch!

Big thanks to Nike and Footlocker but also to the all the crew involved in this event and everyone that came out to celebrate the TN. It was LOURD!! (HEAVVVVVY)!

Birthday Party de la TN dans le 9-3 !

Une soirée dans le 9-3 pour célébrer les 20 ans de la Air Max Plus ? Bien vu ! C’est donc Montreuil (93) qu’ont choisi Nike et Foot Locker pour accueillir le tant attendu évènement anniversaire de la TN.

Paris a célébré le 13 Décembre 2018 l’anniversaire de la Air Max Plus, évènement organisé par Nike et Footlocker à Montreuil (9-3 !). Cette paire mythique, plus connue sous le nom de TN, demeure un symbole de la street dans le monde entier et plus que jamais en France, où elle fût rebaptisée « La Requin », un clin d’oeil à son esthétique féroce. Les Chaudronneries ont été transformées en une cité TN, pour le plus grand bonheur des aficionados.

Dès l’entrée, le ton est donné : Bienvenue à la Tuned City ! TN aux pieds, armés d’une Carte de Crédit TN, nous étions prêts à dépenser nos TNs dans la ville !

Quel évènement ! L’attention portée au moindre détail était incroyable. De l’Epicerie TN au DonAir NiKebab, en passant par les scooters Yamaha TMax aux couleurs des paires originales, tout était fait pour se sentir à la cité TN 🙂

Un t-shirt ou une casquette personnalisé(e) TN ? Un mug TN ? Une clé USB TN ? De la TN sauce ? Des céréales TN ? De la lessive TN (oui, oui) ? Un porte-clés TN ? Et même un porte-Navigo TN ? Etc. Il y en avait pour tous les goûts ! Tellement génial !

Et le line-up prévu pour l’occasion était tout aussi génial ! Les Français 13 Block ont mis le feu, suivis par SlowThai venu spécialement de Londres pour l’occasion. On a aussi retrouvé le Suisse Dimeh et ses XTRM Boyz. Enfin, les deux artistes parisiens Bamao Yendé et Andy4000 se sont succédés pour clôturer cette soirée en beauté.

Les amateurs de TN ont également eu la possibilité de cop la TN OG Purple en exclusivité mondiale ! En effet, c’était le retour de la SNKRS CAM : trouver puis scanner un requin violet pour accéder à la paire qui n’est pas encore sortie. Sympa

Un énorme merci à Nike et FootLocker et toutes les équipes impliquées dans cet évènement. C’était LOURD !
