Jordan V Black Grape Releasing June 15th

JBG3   JBG2   JBG1

Are these the best non OG colourway of the Jordan V thus far, they could well be…

Even the purists among us will  have to admit that this is a banger of a colourway and so so simple, just a flip from black to white and BOOM! So often simple is what works and these are proof of that. Even I might have to admit that this colourway may well be better than such non OG classics as the Quai 54s, the Tokyo 23s and personal favourite of mine the Green Beans.

There will  be the usual complaints about quality from Jordan brand but from these amazing shots courtesy of Sneaker Politics these look pretty damn good. I would have preferred some propa suede as opposed to that smooth, thin durabuck stuff and of course we would have all loved to see the Nike Air slapped on the back to really really make these the stuff that sneaker addicts’ dreams are made of, but nevertheless, these are something very special.

Some of us will wish that these were not going to be a wide release so that we could have that ‘I’ve got them and you haven’t’ swagger when rocking them around town. Others will be happy that they’ll be able to sit at home and cop a pair with ease from the Foot Locker website. Hopefully the wide release will make sure folks aren’t bussing caps tomorrow to get a pair. And maybe just maybe everyone should get a bite of the black grape….

I won’t list all the spots that’ll have these but if you can try and cop at your local sneaker spot so we can keep those guys in business but if you can’t there will be a ton of places to cop online. Here in the UK you’ll be looking at about £135, and $160 before tax stateside, not quite sure about the pricetag in Euros. So all you have left to do is check the bank balances or organise a loan from tonight and get copping tomorrow!

And as a last something for you to think about – which grapes do you like best, black or white???
