Ok so hands down for us this is one of the best AM1s to see the light of day. Ben Drury’s work on these was arguably his best on a Nike shoe. That black leather with the perforations, the 3m on the guards and the tongue tag in 3m with that HOLD TIGHT, those insoles with the airwave, and the antenna signal theme running through with the swirling silver thread on the back. There was also a sick Windrunner jacket that went with these. These 87s came as part of a sick 3 pack that includes an Air Stab and an Air MAx 360 both of which are killer. Some serious love for these, hence the beatdown they’ve received, how I wish I’d doubled up, and back then this premium makeup cost a mere 70 squids!
