Sneakers: The Complete Limited Editions Guide. Essential midweek reading.

TWOTF: How long did the whole project take from start to finish?

The whole process took about 2 years, maybe even a bit more! That’s from working out the initial concept through to the finished product.

TWOTF: How many people were involved in the book, how big a team are you guys and did folks have set roles in terms of the production of the book?

As a working agency we obviously still had other client work coming in, so we didn’t have the luxury of having a full team working full time on this.

Niranjela: I headed the project full time through the whole process, making sure we hit deadlines, we got all the product we needed in, and out, photographed in the right way to get the important aspects of the sneaker across, copy was written etc.

Towards the beginning Joel came in as an intern for a few months to assist in the book’s production and ultimately later came on board full time.

The rest of the amazing U-Dox team, managed to juggle work on this book alongside client work.

We have to mention Phil Aylen, who fully photographed over 500 sneakers from various angles and at different locations.

Nick Hearne, came up with beautiful concept photography to help portray each sneaker’s story and carefully laid out each page in the book to make sure the important details were not left out, with the help of Paul Jenkins.

While a team of copywriters including Niranjela, Joel, Liz Jones, Jess Ruiz, Chris Aylen, Chris George, James Else and Jenny Condell we all made sure copy was written as accurately, informatively and consistently as possible.
