Now often shoes look worse in the flesh than they do in the hi-res promo pics but this pack actually looks even better than the press pictures. Last night we headed down to the London launch of the Saucony x Penfield three-way and we were not disappointed with the shoe.
Named after Penfield’s tough and durable Teflon-coated fabric, the 60/40 Cotton-Nylon has been used by the brand since its inception in 1975 and is now one of their most iconic materials used on their garments. And its use on the Shadow original makes these some tough-ass kicks. With rugged suede to complement and some nice touches like the hiker boot lace loop and the rope laces these look really good.
Great event too and great to catch up with folks from the London sneakerhead community.
These drop tomorrow and should definitely be one of your go-to winter shoes. And you’ll hopefully be able to snag a pair what with the heads still recovering from the Jordan 6 madness.
