Whoah we are just back from an amazing few days in Amsterdam at Europe’s biggest sneaker festival Sneakerness and it did not disappoint. It all went down on May 14 and 15 at the Kromhouthal a venue a short drive outside of the centre of Amsterdam. The venue was huge with a massive main area and other small areas off to the sides and upstairs.
The heat was on the tables with the sellers going all out from vintage heat to kicks that had just dropped that weekend. Too many people to mention but big up to all the sellers that kept the tables heated. The place was buzzing with the DJ playing that old skool Hip Hop in the back. There was food, drink and coffee too, shouts out to the Baristocrats for bringing the Streetfighter II machine too so dope.
We were in there with the King of Trainers and the crew from Trapped Magazine and was just so great to meet people that we only knew through social media and put faces to the Feet. Thanks to everyone that said hello and travelled to the event just to meet us. Shouts to Matt and the organisers for putting on the Sneakerness breakout sessions with a great panel discussion featuring our very own King of Trainers, Careaux, Tim and Virgil from Patta, Girl on Kicks, Francky B, Master of Air Shoenica and Peter from Asics. There was also a great talk and demo from customiser Tornschujette.
Great event and we left Amsterdam buzzing and thinking about which Sneakerness we’re going to attend next and if you haven’t been hit Sneakerness.com and check one out soon! Special mention goes out to Edson and the Patta family for their hospitality whilst we were in Amsterdam. And we cannot forget the good people from Forcefield NYC for making the trip happen for us.
Thank you Sneakerness and thank you Amsterdam – see you next year! Check out the great pics below!
