All roads led to Paris last week as adidas and Footlocker took us out for an epic launch day and night for the adidas Tubular Invader Strap. Along with a bunch of other bloggers, photographers, journalists, sneaker scene influencers and brand reps we were whisked to Paris and taken to our lodgings for the night, the amazing W Hotel right opposite L’Opera.
After a brief meet and greet we were then taken to the banks of the Seine for a boat ride and a three course meal. The music, conversation and the wine were flowing as we discussed the sneaker scene with the other folks on board…and the food was pretty amazing too! Both Footlocker and adidas really went all out and we have to BIG THEM UP and say thanks so much for the kind invite.
Next we hit some of Paris’ sneaker spots with Footlocker to check out some of the season’s key sneakers before heading to the Paris Opera House itself for more food and drinks – the wows just kept coming and those desserts…oooh lala! Then it was off to the sick Palais de Tokyo for the main event and what an amazing venue. Stairs took us underground to an adidas wall with all our names on it then further deeper underground where the walls had street art from such big names as Futura. And into the main arena where we saw the triple black Tubular Invader strap for the first time in the flesh, and we drunk and danced until the very end!
An amazing event and we returned to the W to find a pair of the dope Tubular Invaders on our bed in a special velvet box. Thanks to Footlocker and adidas this is really how it should be done! BIG STYLE! Big up all the UK crew who were there repping and all the crew from across Europe. Massive shouts to Chinks from Footlocker and to adidas and MC Saatchi for inviting us and finally THANK YOU PARIS it was epic!
