The Sneakersnstuff x Moomin x Karhu. Starting off this week’s round up I’m going a bit left field and throwing this one in there. Now I’m not sure how many of you are old enough to remember the Moomins (I am) but the originally Finnish books and cartoons created during World War 2 have inspired the creators of this collaboration, the colourways and details of these kicks. The collaboration by Sneakersnstuff is with the brand Karhu, also from Finland, features two different patterns on their Albatross silouhette. Both shoes feature an all over print the first sees the shoe covered with the flowers that grow in Moominvalley. “In Tove Janssons Finland the winter is long and hard so the Moomin family usually sleeps through the winter. But when spring comes the Moominvalley is filled with all sorts of colorful and beautiful flowers, helping to create the magical feelling.” The second colourway is based on the character Little My. Little My was Adopted by the Moomins, “Little My has that ”stick it to the man” mentality that is perhaps more relevant today than it has been since the end of World War II. Her balance between always being fair, yet still keeping a very punk mentality is something that we all can relate to so to be able to put her on a shoe was something that we are very happy about” the shoes have some really nice touches including Moomins cartoon print on the inner and a Moomin on the upper of each shoe. Anyone if you fancy something a little different or these appeal to your taste you can find these releasing at Hanon and Sneakersnstuff this Saturday.
ADIDAS CONSORTIUM PRIMEKNIT STAN SMITH. A pretty dope summer kick here. This year has seen the popular return of the Adidas Stan smith in a big way and this weekend sees the release of the traditional white with green Stan smith colourway but with a dope primeknit technology upper to give you that lightweight cool twist on a classic kick just in time for these hot summer days. Personally I’m a big fan of most of the primeknits, flyknits etc… and this clean colourway will keep you looking fresh this summer and will make a great addition to any sneakerheads collection. Scheduled to drop this Saturday at retailers including Hanon, Footpatrol and End.
NIKE AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO OG – FAMILY FOREVER. A shoe that takes inspiration form Michael Jordan’s Children’s idea for a perfect fathers day gift. This Jordan 1 silhouette features a dark blue upper comprised of leather and denim with a light blue sole. The shoe also features blue, yellow, and red eyelets and comes with 3 extra sets of laces to match those colour eyelets and give you a little room for a touch of individuality on your pair. Although personally I don’t think denim on kicks always works I think Jordan Brand have pulled this off quite nicely. You can find these Saturday at retailers such as Hanon, End and of course Nike.
NIKE AIR JORDAN 11 LOW – INFRARED 23. This Saturday sees the return of the Jordan 11 low this time in the Infrared 23 colour way. Featuring a black upper with black patent leather and a hint of grey speckle on the heel. The Jordan 11 low silhouette is a nice kick for summer but I’m not going to lie this colourway does nothing for me however if you’re looking to scoop this on Saturday out of the flood of Jordan releases yet again you can find this at most major Jordan brand retailers such as Wellgosh, Size, Offspring, Foot Asylum, Urban Industry, Nike etc…
NIKE AIR JORDAN 11 LOW – TURBO GREEN. So another 11 low releases this Saturday this time in GS sizes only. The ladies get a very nice CW in the 11 low with this white base and nice turbo green safari print patent leather. This in my opinion is a much better colourway of the 11 low and just in time for you ladies to be looking fresh to death this summer. So if you’re looking to scoop a pair of these you can find them at Nike, Size, Footasylum
Celebration Pack NIKE AIR JORDAN 6 – CIGAR, NIKE AIR JORDAN 6 – CHAMPAGNE.
Now to what I think is one of this weekend’s more popular releases the Jordan 6 Celebration pack. I’ve heard a lot of mixed feelings over these and the respective colourways; personally at first I was only feeling the champagne 6’s until I saw the cigar 6’s in person. Now I think they’re both pretty dope. Both kicks styled in a very luxurious way taking inspiration from Michael Jordan’s first of six NBA Championship titles whilst wearing the Jordan 6 silhouette and his cigar and champagne post game celebrations. The champagne has a self-explanatory colourway featuring an all patent green upper with gold accents and a black midsole with gold speckle. As well as featuring a black lacelock the clear heel tab tongue and sole are all glow in the dark. Both colourways feature a dope championship ring inspired lacelock. In edition to the champagnes we see the cigars in a raw umber (brown) upper with chilling red and team red accents and midsole. The cigar also features all of the same dope accessories and touches as the champagne 6’s with the standard lace lock in team red. Available in limited numbers if you’re looking to cop on Saturday you can find at retailers such as Nike, Size, End and Footpatrol
NIKE AIR JORDAN FUTURE – IGUANA. Finally I’ll end on yet again another colourway in the Jordan future. I do highly rate this kick and we seem to be getting a new colourway every week to satisfy most of your colour palettes so if this colourway appeals to you it’s scheduled to be releasing Saturday at Jordan retailers such as Footpatrol, Hanon, Nike and Kickz.
